Salvino Benanti, Development & Licensing Manager, SIFI Salvino Benanti is Business Development & Licensing Manager at SIFI's Pharma Business Unit. SIFI is a private Italian Eye Care company involved in research, production and commercialization of drugs and products for the prevention and treatment of eye diseases, as well as in development, marketing and sales of surgical instruments and diagnostic devices. Mr. Benanti holds various responsibilities in this position, with particular focus on the evaluation of product licensing opportunities with the potential to widen SIFI's global presence. As the global market becomes increasingly competitive and virtually borderless, Mr. Benanti believes that international growth is key for his company. Mr. Benanti joined SIFI after beginning his career in the financial industry. With investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein Ltd. of London, Mr. Benanti was an analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Advisory Group. A graduate from the European Business School, London, he is also well versed in strategic planning and management. His education was embellished greatly through his international experience having lived in the UK, France, Spain, Switzerland and Italy. Additionally, Mr. Benanti is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Italian, with a rudimentary understanding of Portuguese. Mr. Benanti is a member of the Board of the Pharma Licensing Group (PLG) Italy. Moreover, he is a representative on the TFOS Corporate Advisory Board. Beyond Mr. Benanti's corporate achievements, he pursues other business ventures and interests, including the art of wine production at the family vineyard, Azienda Vinicola Benanti S.r.l., the only company in the Etna region which offers a D.O.C. wine of high ranking. Mr. Benanti is an avid soccer fan and a passionate traveler and sportsman.
