Amy Gallant Sullivan
Amy is the Executive Director and Co-Creator of the Tear Film & Ocular Surface Society (TFOS). Amy has many responsibilities, including but not limited to, promoting worldwide awareness of TFOS, fundraising and sponsorship strategies, directing the development & oversight of TFOS meetings & events, managing & overseeing all marketing, branding & promotional activity, coordinating and supervising the work of TFOS consultants & communicating with the TFOS Corporate Advisory Board.
Before co-launching TFOS (a.k.a. the family business), Amy worked in the PR industry focusing on strategic branding, e-commerce and media relations. She provided counsel for Blue Chip & dot.com clients seeking to build and maintain visibility among the domestic and international market analysts and business and trade press communities. Amy worked with Manning Selvage & Lee and Brodeur Worldwide, managing accounts in EMEA, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.
Amy began her business career in international branding with Fidelity Investments, where she developed public relations strategies for Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Company (FIIS) both for the US and South America. She held both Series 6 & 63 Certifications. Prior to Fidelity, Amy apprenticed as a speechwriter in the office of the Honorable Senator John F. Kerry.
Amy speaks multiple languages including English, French, Italian, Spanish, basic Portuguese and has dabbled in Japanese, Greek, and Arabic. Between Boston and Paris, she has also lived in Italy, Spain and Argentina as well as traveled extensively throughout the world. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Boston University in Mass Communication and Public Relations. Amy is also a Startup advisor, author and co-Founder of the Italian & International Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums.
