Adriana Stanila
Stanila Adriana, Professor, is an ophthalmologist in Sibiu, Romania with over 40 years of clinical and academic activity. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Carol Davila University, Bucharest in 1997. In 1983 she was confirmed as an ophthalmologist. Since 1995 she has been the head of the ophthalmology discipline at the Sibiu Clinical Hospital.
Her entire academic career took place at the Faculty of Medicine in Sibiu where she coordinated the activity of residents, young specialists, and doctoral students.
She is the founder and administrator of Ofta Total Clinic, Dr Stanila Medical Center where coordinates the medical, surgical, and scientific activity of the clinic. Adriana Stanila's first dedicated work contributed significantly to the development of modern ophthalmology in Romania and the training of numerous generations of young doctors
She is Founding Member of the Romanian Society for Contactology; Organizer of the Annual National Meeting, President of the Romanian Contact Lenses and Ocular Surface Society(RCLSO)
Vicepresident of the European Contact Lenses Society (ECLSO). Ambassador for Romania in World organisation TFOS.
Member of the Scientific and Peer Review Board of Medical Journals: Romanian Journal of Ophthalmology, and Acta Medica Transilvanica. She is author or coauthor in 16 books, 130 scientific papers published and 300 scientific presented at diferent scientific meetings.
