Alejandro Navas
Alejandro Navas completed his ophthalmology residency and fellowship program in Cornea & Refractive Surgery at the Institute of Ophthalmology Conde de Valenciana in Mexico City, and received his medical degree from Panamerican University, Mexico. Dr. Navas also completed a research fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, and then received his Doctoral degree at National Autonomous University of Mexico, where he is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology. He is the recipient of many awards and honors including an Achievement Award of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and he is a Member of the Mexican National System of Researchers of the National Council of Science and Technology. Dr. Navas is a former Editor-in-Chief of Revista Mexicana de Oftalmología and has served as reviewer for several medical journals including but not limited to Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science and the Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery. He was recently appointed Residency Program Director of the Institute of Ophthalmology Conde de Valenciana. He enjoys performing arts and traveling with his family.
