Alexandra Valle-OrdoƱez
Dr. Alexandra Valle Ordóñez is a highly accomplished ophthalmologist specializing in Cornea and Refractive Surgery. She completed her postgraduate training at the
Hospital Asociación para Evitar la Ceguera “Dr. Luis Sánchez Bulnes” in Mexico City, one of the most prestigious ophthalmology institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Throughout her career, Dr. Valle has gained extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of corneal and anterior segment disorders, excimer laser procedures, and complex refractive surgeries. From 2021 to 2023, she served as a staff ophthalmologist at the
National Ophthalmology Center (CENAO), providing advanced subspecialty care and contributing to national ophthalmic development. Earlier in her career, she held the role of Deputy Medical Director at the
Pedro Altamirano Health Center (2015–2016), overseeing clinical operations and public health programs. Her prior service with the
National Institute of Sports of Nicaragua (2014–2015) demonstrated her leadership during emergency medical coordination following the Managua earthquake.
In addition to her clinical and academic activities, Dr. Valle has organized several national continuing education courses focused on anterior segment and corneal surgery, strengthening the professional training of ophthalmologists across Nicaragua. Her leadership in medical education reflects her dedication to elevating ophthalmic standards and promoting scientific exchange.
She is an active member of the
Pan-American Association of Ocular Trauma and Cornea Rounds, contributing to regional discussions on corneal pathology and surgical advancements. Currently, Dr. Valle serves as a full-time ophthalmologist at
Clínica Valle. Ophthalmology and Specialties and Oftalmolaser, wich are modern centers dedicated to comprehensive eye care and visual restoration. Through her integrity, technical excellence, and commitment to innovation, Dr. Alexandra Valle Ordóñez has established herself as one of the leading figures in corneal and refractive surgery in Nicaragua and Latin America.
