Artaches Arto Zilfyan

Professor Artashes Arto Zilfyan, MD, MBA, is a distinguished ophthalmologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and healthcare leader with extensive experience in clinical practice, medical education, and health policy. He serves as Director of the Eye Health Institute and Director of Zilfyan EyeCare Centers, while continuing his work as a general ophthalmologist. Professor Zilfyan also holds several prominent leadership positions within Armenia’s healthcare system, including Head of the Department of Eye Diseases at the National Institute of Health of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Chief Ophthalmologist of Yerevan, and Advisor to the Minister of Health on ophthalmology. In addition to his clinical and administrative responsibilities, he is the President of the Armenian International Ophthalmological Conference (AIOC), where he contributes to advancing ophthalmic education, research, and international collaboration. Through his leadership and professional expertise, Professor Zilfyan has played a significant role in the development of eye care services and ophthalmic practice in Armenia.
