Bridgitte Shen Lee
Dr. Bridgitte Shen Lee is the co-founder of Vision Optique (1999), founder of iTravelCE (2010), and founder of Ocular Clinical Trials (2020). Vision Optique is a comprehensive primary and specialty eye care practice in Houston. Ocular Clinical Trials serves as a FDA clinical research site conducting studies for specialty contact lens, presbyopia solutions, dry eye and ocular surface disease treatment, myopia management treatment, and diagnostic technology.
Unique in destination education, iTravelCE serves as a bridge between the Asian and American/European optical industries. It brings optometrists to Asia for continuing medical education and assists in expanding the optometry profession in Asia and Europe. Through iTravelCE, Dr. Shen Lee is an educator, speaker and consultant in the eye care industry.
Dr. Shen Lee’s lectures and scientific posters have been presented at the American and European academy meetings (AAO, EAOO), Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS), SECO International and BCLA meetings, World Congress of Optometry (WCO), and International Congress of Ophthalmology & Optometry China (COOC).
Dr. Shen Lee is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), British Contact Lens Association (BCLA), and European Academy of Optometry and Optics (EAOO).
She has been selected to contribute as a sub-committee member for the Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society (TFOS) Lifestyle Ocular Surface Disease Report and the BCLA CLEAR Presbyopia Report. She has been serving as a Global Ambassador for both TFOS (since 2018) and BCLA (since 2021). She has presented at four U.S. Congressional Briefings (2019-2023) on behalf of The Vision Council, Alliance for Eye and Vision Research (AEVR) and TFOS.
