Cholpon Sagyndykova

Cholpon Sagyndykova, MD, PhD, is a leading expert in eye microsurgery and ophthalmology in the Kyrgyz Republic. With over 20 years of dedicated clinical and surgical experience, Dr. Sagyndykova currently serves as an Ophthalmic Surgeon in the Department of Eye Microsurgery No. 1 at the National Hospital under the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Dr. Sagyndykova earned her MD from Osh State University in 2002 and completed her residency in ophthalmology at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy. She holds a PhD equivalent (Candidate of Medical Sciences), successfully defending her dissertation in 2009, and has published over 15 scientific papers advancing ophthalmic care. Her primary surgical expertise and clinical focus encompass complex cataract surgery, strabismus surgery, glaucoma management, and the surgical treatment of congenital eye disorders.  

Deeply committed to continuous professional development and international collaboration, Dr. Sagyndykova regularly participates in global medical training programs and annual International Ophthalmology Conferences across neighboring and foreign countries. Fluent in Kyrgyz and Russian, with working proficiency in English, she remains passionate about improving patient outcomes, pioneering advanced microsurgical techniques, and promoting international partnerships to elevate eye care standards across the region.
