Dr. Quesada is the Clinical Director of Clinica Quesada and Centro de Investigación y Fundación Quesada; with his team Clinica Quesada have participated in more than 14 First in Human trials in Ophthalmology. Dr Quesada had been awarded by the AAO, is a Fellow of the World Congress of Refractive Surgery and a member of the International Intraocular Implant Club (IIIC).

The importance of the lacrimal system in cataract and refractive surgery lead Clinica Quesada to participate in different protocols to enhance accuracy in measurements in the cornea, and maintain a better quality of the natural tear.

The ocular surface has become one of the most fascinating facts for quality of vision, and restoration of the film in the eye is a priority in any refractive procedure. Clinica Quesada participate actively in the development of new treatments to prevent dry eye or corneal trauma due to tear film problems.

Latin American TFOS Ambassador Meeting

TFOS has organized a special meeting of the Latin American TFOS Ambassadors. This meeting, which will occur in Panama City this May, has two goals: first, to address the unmet needs for the management (e.g. diagnosis & treatment) of ocular surface diseases in their country/region, as well as what the Ambassadors perceive as short and long term scientific/clinical solutions; and second, to create a report for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
