Jutta Horwath-Winter
Jutta Horwath-Winte graduated from Karl-Franzens University, Graz, Austria, in 1992, where she also completed her residency in Ophthalmology and was granted Venia docendi in 2005. Dr. Horwath-Winter is Associate Professor, Head of the Dry Eye Unit and Deputy Head of the Corneal and Cataract Section in the Department of Ophthalmology, at the Medical University of Graz, Austria. Her medical interests include continued clinical and scientific progress in ocular surface diseases, such as dry eye and Sjögren syndrome, as well as in blepharospasm, and corneal and cataract surgery. Dr. Horwath-Winter was a Clinical Investigator in dry eye therapeutic studies and was awarded the Dry Eye Research Prize of the German Ophthalmological Society in 2000 for “The influence of environmental factors on the development of dry eye.” She was also Subcommittee member of the TFOS Dry Eye Workshop II on “Iatrogenic Dry Eye.”
