Manuel Del Toro
Manuel Del Toro is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist specializing in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive surgery. He is the founder, medical director and chief refractive surgeon at VEO, clínica de corrección visual in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, USA. Dr. Del Toro has a liberal arts education from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. He received his medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico where he graduated as valedictorian and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Puerto Rico where he was selected as the chief resident. Dr. Del Toro completed an advanced specialty training fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at the Wilmer Eye Institute from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Pan-American Society of Cornea and the American and European Societies of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is currently pursuing an executive education of Physician CEO at the Kellogg school of management in Northwestern University. Manuel is married with 2 children, and enjoys time with friends sharing fine wine and playing sports such as tennis, sporting clays, fly fishing, and motorsports.
