Muhammad Sharjeel
Muhammad Sharjeel is a vibrant young Ophthalmologist from a remote area of Pakistan called Dera Ismail Khan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He graduated from the well-respected Khyber Medical College, was a post-graduate at King Edward Medical University Lahore, Pakistan, as well as fellow of Royal College of Glasgow. Dr. Sharjeel works in ocular surface diseases and has many papers pertaining to Sahaf wet chamber for prevention of exposure keratopathy as well as Pterygium excision with limbal stem cell graft. He is currently a senior registrar at Gomal Medical College dera ismail Khan, a leading oculoplastic, and refractive surgeon who performs phacoemulsification, and a practitioner treating a lot of ocular surface disorders especially dry eye and vernal keratoconjunctivitis as local area climate is hot and dry. Dr. Sharjeel runs many ophthalmology groups on Facebook and Whatsapp and thousands of eye practitioners and optometrists follow and learn from him. He is a WWF Pakistan member combating poverty, a sports fan, and loves nature, traveling and hiking. Dr. Sharjeel looks forward to working with TFOS and serving his country.
