Paul M. Karpecki
Paul M. Karpecki received his doctor of optometry degree from Indiana University and completed a fellowship in medical cornea and refractive surgery in Kansas City. He currently serves as Director of Cornea at the Kentucky Eye Institute in Lexington, KY, and Director of OSD for Gaddie Eye Centers in Louisville, KY. He is an associate professor at the University of Pikeville School of Optometry. Dr. Karpecki was selected to participate in the TFOS DEWS II Diagnostic sub-committee, as well as a co-chair of the TFOS Symposium in 2016 that took place in Montpellier, France. He has over two decades experience in running some of the largest dedicated dry eye clinics and in dry eye clinical research. He was recently selected to be moderator of the session presenting TFOS DEWS II on Capitol Hill. A noted educator and author, Dr. Karpecki has provided over 1000 lectures at various meetings covering 4 continents. He has also authored over 1000 papers in journals, book chapters, clinical eblasts and newsletters. He currently serves as the Chief Clinical Editor for Review of Optometry, and is director of clinical content and chairs the New Technology and Treatment Conferences.
