Serge Doan

Serge DOAN, MD has performed his medical fellowship in cornea/external diseases in the department of Prof Thanh HOANG-XUAN at Fondation A de Rothschild and Hôpital Bichat in Paris. He is now assistant Professor in this department (Chair, Pr Eric Gabison) since 2000, and leads the ocular surface unit. He is author of >100 publications and book chapters on ocular surface diseases, and has written 2 books (in French) on dry eye and allergy. He is the former Chair of the Ocular Allergy group at the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

Latin American TFOS Ambassador Meeting

TFOS has organized a special meeting of the Latin American TFOS Ambassadors. This meeting, which will occur in Panama City this May, has two goals: first, to address the unmet needs for the management (e.g. diagnosis & treatment) of ocular surface diseases in their country/region, as well as what the Ambassadors perceive as short and long term scientific/clinical solutions; and second, to create a report for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
