Vishal Jhanji

Vishal Jhanji is currently a Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and an Honorary Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Jhanji completed his Ophthalmology training at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India. He then completed specialist training in cornea, external eye diseases and refractive surgery in India and Melbourne, Australia. Professor Jhanji serves on the editorial board of the British Journal of Ophthalmology, Scientific Reports, Medicine, PLoS One, Asia Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology and Journal of Mobile Technology in Medicine. Dr. Jhanji is also a member of the Publications Committee for the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and International Meetings Committee for the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Jhanji is a Visiting Professor at the Joint International Eye Center of Shantou University, China and the Wenzhou Medical School, China. He has published over 200 papers in SCI international indexed peer-reviewed journals, authored 2 books and more than 15 book chapters. His research interests include etiology, pathogenesis and treatment of dry eye, genetics, management and outcomes of keratoconus, corneal infection diagnosis and management, and corneal imaging and transplantation.
