Vladimir Brzheskiy
Brzheskiy Vladimir Vsevolodovich is an ophthalmologist with 30 years of clinical and scientific experience. Recognized in Russia as an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of the "dry eye" disease, he also is actively involved in the pathology of tear ducts and pediatric ophthalmology. During the last 15 years, he has been lecturing, hosting webinars and conferences that focus on dry eye disease and the pathology of lachrymal ways in all regions of Russia. Dr. Brzheskiy is an experienced ophthalmic surgeon who performs modern operations on the eyeball and tear ducts in adults and children, as well as advises young ophthalmologists on the complex issues of diagnosis and treatment. He graduated from the Military Medical Academy, where he worked for 10 years, and now he is the head of the Department of Ophthalmology at the St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University, where he trains students, clinical residents and graduate students. Under his leadership, young ophthalmologists performed 13 dissertations, which developed in Russia the scientific direction of pathology of the ocular surface and the "dry eye" disease. Professor Brzheskiy is Chairman of the Children's Ophthalmology Section of the St. Petersburg Scientific Medical Society of Ophthalmologists, and Member of the Presidium of the Society of Ophthalmologists of Russia. He is a member of the Editorial Board of 5 scientific journals on Ophthalmology, as well as All-Russian expert councils: accommodation and refraction, glaucoma, inflammatory diseases of the eye, as well as pediatric ophthalmology. He lives in the northern city of Russia - the severe St. Petersburg with his wife Irina (also an ophthalmologist) and son Vladislav, who is preparing to become an air traffic controller.
