Weiyun Shi

Weiyun Shi is Director of Shandong Eye Institute and President of Shandong Eye Hospital. His research interests include infectious keratitis, corneal and cataract surgery. He serves as standing committee member of Chinese Ophthalmological Society, president of Chinese Cornea Society, and Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese Journal of Ophthalmology. Professor Shi has received research grants from the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Moreover, he has not only published over 250 scientific papers, with more than 1,000 independent citations, but also authored the book of Surgery of the Cornea and co-authored the book of Cornea in China. Dr. Shi is an Expert Member of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society and an International Member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Among his honors are the Achievement Award of Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology and the Distinguished Award of Chinese Ophthalmological Society. Professor Shi also has several patents.
