Yuichi Hori
Yuichi Hori is a Professor and Chair in the Department of Ophthalmology, Toho University School of Medicine and Toho University Omori Medical Center. He graduated from Osaka University School of Medicine in Japan, and received his medical doctor degree in 1995. Dr. Hori completed residency and fellowship at Osaka University Hospital. Following, he was a research fellow with Professor Ilene Gipson’s Laboratory at the Schepens Eye Research Institute, Harvard University (Boston, MA) from 2001to 2004, where he studied the expression of mucins on the ocular surface epithelia. Clinically, Dr. Hori specializes in ocular surface disease, dry eye, corneal infection, and corneal transplantation. His current research fields include ocular surface mucin, tear dynamics and ocular surface temperature. He is now a member of the board of councilor of Japan Ophthalmological Society and a member of Board of Trustees of Japan Cornea Society.
