TFOS Board of Directors

TFOS welcomes the new and/or continuing members of the TFOS Board of Directors. They are Dimitri Azar (USA), Wei Chen (China, new), Murat Dogru (Japan, Secretary), José Álvaro Pereira Gomes (Brazil, new), Geetha Iyer (India), Paul Karpecki (USA, new), Zuguo Liu (China, Treasurer), Maria Markoulli (Australia, new), Victor Perez (USA, new) and David A Sullivan (USA, Chair). TFOS greatly appreciates their willingness to embrace and lead the TFOS mission, which is to advance the research, literacy and educational aspects of the tear film and ocular surface throughout the world. 

TFOS also thanks past Board members, Jennifer Craig, Lyndon Jones and James Wolffsohn, for their years of exceptional service.

Latin American TFOS Ambassador Meeting

TFOS has organized a special meeting of the Latin American TFOS Ambassadors. This meeting, which will occur in Panama City this May, has two goals: first, to address the unmet needs for the management (e.g. diagnosis & treatment) of ocular surface diseases in their country/region, as well as what the Ambassadors perceive as short and long term scientific/clinical solutions; and second, to create a report for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
